When is Raksha Bandhan 2026?

Raksha Bandhan falls on Friday 28th August 2026.

We recommend ordering early, especially for international deliveries, as many of our handmade designs sell out during the season.

Are your Rakhi bracelets handmade?

Yes. Every Rakhi is carefully handmade in the UK using our premium *100% Egyptian Cotton Twist Thread* and finished with carefully selected beads or natural gemstones.

Are your Rakhi bracelets adjustable?

Yes. All of our Rakhi bracelets are approximately *38cm long*, allowing them to be tied comfortably to fit children and adults.

Are they suitable for children?

Yes. Our Rakhi bracelets are suitable for both children and adults.

Please note they contain small parts and are *not suitable for children under 3 years of age*.

Will the thread lose its colour?

No. We use premium colourfast Egyptian Cotton Twist Thread, meaning the colour will not bleed or transfer during normal wear.

Is the Rakhi comfortable to wear?

Yes. Every Emi & Koa Rakhi is handmade using 100% Egyptian Cotton Twist Thread, making it incredibly soft, lightweight and comfortable for everyday wear.

Unlike many traditional Rakhi threads, our premium cotton is gentle against the skin and designed for all-day comfort. The soft natural fibres make it a lovely choice for both children and adults, including those who prefer softer materials against their skin.

 Are the gemstones genuine?

Yes. Our crystal collection features genuine natural gemstones.

As each stone is natural, colours and patterns may vary slightly, making every bracelet beautifully unique.

Can I personalise my Rakhi?

Yes. We offer a range of personalised designs including initial bracelets and name Rakhi bracelets.

Simply select your preferred option and enter your personalisation before adding your item to your basket.

Do you offer gift packaging?

Every Rakhi is beautifully presented on one of our signature Emi & Koa cards, ready for gifting.

How quickly will my order be dispatched?

Most Rakhi orders are dispatched within 1–3 working days.

During the busy Raksha Bandhan season, dispatch times may be slightly longer. Current delivery estimates are shown at checkout.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We ship worldwide.

International delivery times vary depending on the destination country. We recommend ordering early during the Raksha Bandhan season to allow plenty of time for delivery.

When will I receive my order?

We aim to dispatch all Rakhi orders within 1–3 working days.

Once your order has been dispatched, delivery times depend on the shipping service selected at checkout.

UK Delivery

Royal Mail 2nd Class (Non-Tracked): Typically 2–3 working days
Royal Mail 1st Class (Non-Tracked): Typically 1–2 working days
Royal Mail Tracked 48: Typically 2–3 working days with tracking updates 
Royal Mail Tracked 24: Typically 1–2 working days with tracking updates


International Delivery

International orders are sent using Royal Mail International Tracked and typically arrive within 5–7 working days, although customs processing may occasionally cause delays.

Tracked vs Non-Tracked

Our tracked services provide tracking updates from dispatch through to delivery, giving you greater visibility of your parcel's journey.

Non-tracked services do not include end-to-end tracking and only provide confirmation when the item has been delivered (where available).

Please note that delivery times are estimates and may be longer during busy periods such as Raksha Bandhan or due to postal delays outside of our control.

Can I send my order directly as a gift?

Yes. We can send your order directly to the recipient. Simply enter their delivery address at checkout.

No pricing information is included inside our parcels.

What if my order arrives damaged?

If your item arrives damaged or you receive the wrong item, please contact us at hello@emiandkoa.com within 14 days of delivery, including your order number and a photo of the issue. We'll resolve it as quickly as possible.

Can I return my order?

As our items are handmade to order, we cannot accept returns or exchanges for personalised or custom-made products unless they are faulty or supplied incorrectly.
