A little bit about us...

Emi & Koa is run by Karishma & Nisha, two mums from North West London who together created and launched the business in 2021. 

At the end of maternity leave, we faced redundancy and zero flexible working in our collective 20 year careers within Marketing and Fashion Design. We started to brain dump and came up with a luxury Rakhi product, which was already 2 years in the making. 

With our combined extensive skills, we developed a brand with a clear direction. Since Karishma’s brothers complained year after year about not enjoying wearing their Rakhis, we took this notion and ran with it.We intended to modernise the “traditional” looking Rakhi, offering a more classy and wearable alternative. The look being minimalistic and fuss free, with the use of soft, long-lasting 100% colourfast Egyptian Cotton so the dye doesn’t leak and stain your clothes!

Since then, our range has naturally expanded to dainty customisable and personalised jewellery - keeping in line with our minimalist design ethos. All pieces are adjustable to suit any wrist size, including necklaces which can be worn at your desired length. 

We have also ventured into Dandiya dancing sticks which are fully designed and hand made in-house by us, with the added novelty of adding your own personalised engraved name to each pair. We love to recreate a modern take on traditional Indian items, helping you to personalise your pieces which are ideal for gifting, or for your own family.
